Greetings to you, Santa! I’m new to this farm, relatively new to this world, and have never experienced Christmas before.  You see, I was a really small duckling but somehow I ended up walking around on some sidewalks in a city (I think it was called Silver Spring).  Some person just didn’t want me in their lives anymore. I don’t know why they thought it was OK to leave me on the street.  People are so perplexing. Then another person saw me and picked me up, but he didn’t like me, either.  He rang the bell at a third person’s house and said, “here, have this duck.”  The third person was terribly kind and loved me, but he said, “Walter, we are in the city here. The city is no place for a beautiful duck like you. We need to find you a place in the country.” And that’s how I came to live here, and meet my best friend Emmy and my sometimes friend Vern (also ducks). Nobody knew for a long time what kind of duck I was, but eventually they figured out that I’m a Muscovy which is a VERY special duck. They also figured out that I’m a girl. But I’m cool with the name Walter.

Well that’s my story! I was thinking that you and I should get together for a photo shoot – we have matching colors, don’t we!

Now, this request is more of a spring project – but you might know that one of our friends made us a POND.  Yes, it’s a wonderful pond. But we feel that no pond is complete without a willow tree to watch over it. Do you know someone who would come and plant a willow tree for us in the spring?
