Hail to my old friend Santa Claus!

Last year I wrote to you of my troubles with the bully George and the upstart female geese who invaded my space and pushed me out. Santa, I’m nearly 22 years old and I felt I deserved more respect than that. I’m very happy to report, however, that I moved into the brand new “chicken coop” with a few chickens and my duck friends. These animals DO show me respect, and I’m finally able to get some peace and have a nice leisurely dinner every evening without molestation.

We do not yet have electricity run to our coop (we need some help with materials still!) but in the meantime, these lovely motion sensor lights would be very nice for when our humans come in in the evening – then they can see what they are doing! https://tinyurl.com/lights-for-louie  They would also provide a nice “ambiance” for my repasts after dark.

I have researched the matter of vitamins for older waterfowl and and have discovered that Brewers Yeast is quite good for Anatidae (that is my general scientific family, should you not be in the know). I realize that this is not something you can send in the mail, but would you please spread the word that fresh vegetables and fruits are so tasty to me and my friends, and also very critical to our good health!  Things like romaine lettuce, berries, and peas. We also like pumpkin – I’m thinking you *could* send us some canned pumpkin which we could slurp up!  We would also share with the pigs, because they absolutely LOVE pumpkin!
