Hello Santa!  Yes yes I know I’m late getting my letter out to you. Don’t blame me, though. Everyone in line in front of me was taking their sweet time deciding what to say to you. Hmm.  Now I have to decide what to say. Did you know that horses are often very indecisive? That’s why we go running off in one direction and then suddenly, POOF we turn on a dime and run in the other direction. I’ll be you never knew that, did you? You learn something new every day.

Well now Santa, you may remember that I have only one eye. The other one is sadly long gone, but the eyeball (such as it is) is still in place. But it causes me trouble from time to time. The veterinarian took a look and said that I need to get it flushed and then have some lubricant put into it on a regular basis (otherwise it gets sort of yucky with mucus and no one likes to see that, now do they?).

This is the lubricant: https://tinyurl.com/eye-lube-for-bruno  And this is the saline: https://tinyurl.com/saline-rinse-for-bruno

I know everyone will be happy to help me out with my eye! Now, here is another thing: Those silly sheep and goats poop everywhere and I mean, everywhere. And it’s just sort of all over the place – these little pellets, and they are hard, and it’s uncomfortable for me to walk on them. It’s so easy to clean up after me – a quick shoveling, and done! But the sheep and goats – you have to gather the pooplets all together and then put them in a pile and then shovel them. The only way to do it is with a broom. But our brooms are not in very good shape. Here is a strong looking broom that might hold up to these ridiculous short ruminants! https://tinyurl.com/broom-for-bruno

Santa, I know someone has asked you for this before, but we’ve had no luck. Background information: do you see me standing in front of that gorgeous tractor? (His name is Bob).  I love our tractor because it helps with the cleaning (see above) and it also brings me my big 800 pound round bales of hay which is just a gorgeous thing. But humans, being silly (since they are human), sometimes use it for other things like going down to pick up packages or ferry feed from one place to another. And while a person *could* sit on the back, it’s not very safe nor comfortable.  AND they are going to wear out that tractor.  Tractors are measured in numbers of hours they have on them, and ours … well it’s getting up there.  So this is what we need (and I have what is going to be a very obvious ulterior  motive):

Golf cart
Type of golf cart we’d just love to have

We need a golf cart. First, we need it to whisk smaller packages, feed bags, and square bales of hay up and down the hill (you see, the back seat can fold down into a handy dandy shelf). Second, and what I consider more important, we need it so that when people come to the farm to visit and they find going up and down the hills quite difficult, we can give them a ride! Now how about that! It’s hard for me to see people who are using walkers or canes, or just struggling to walk up to the barn just so they can see me. There is a lady, you see, who said she’d love nothing better than to come and groom me.  She is 80 years old and I’ve never met her but I love her already. She would need a ride in the golf cart. There it is: my ulterior motive.

Santa, this does not have to be a fancy cart. It can be ugly. It can be old and used. It just needs to run. And it would be better to be electric, please. Can you ask around to see if anyone wants to find a new home for their older model golf cart?  Please?

OK, now, I’m almost done. Horses are also very long winded – did you know that? It takes us a while to come around to the point, sometimes.  So …. please send me a sponsor – I’d like someone who would come and brush me and whisper sweet nothings into my ears! https://shop.stargazingfarm.org/product/bruno/

Thank you Santa, and I hope I’m still on your good list!

Love and hugs,

Bruno
